While out in Vegas, Stalley sat down with myself and Andreas Hale over at TheWellVersed to break down the Curren$y-assisted “Hammers & Vogues” for Life+Times.
Stalley was raised around music from artists like Boogie Down Productions, which no doubt inspired him to craft his brand of Intelligent Trunk Music. He spoke on his duty to say something positive and substantive in his lyrics, the need for rappers with greater influence to do more, the power hip-hop has as the voice of the people, hip-hop’s role in Obama’s election and more. This is Stalley: Politics as Usual.
