Introducing Lady Gaga’s Version Of Kendrick Lamar’s “B*tch, Don’t Kill My Vibe” (Video)

We feel offensive about killing your vibe, so here’s the demo you never got to hear. And the chillun in Rio, and backstage in Colombia. – Paul Blair (Lady Gaga’s DJ)

Obviously this is an unfinished (hence, the whole “demo” part) version, but can we please get a mastered (what up, MixedByAli?) audio version of this track, like, yesterday?

Lady Gaga Explains Her Absence from Kendrick Lamar’s Album

With the release of good kid, m.A.A.d city less than three weeks away, Lady Gaga took to her website to explain why she won’t be appearing on the album.

I apologize to the fans that this situation with Partynausous is confusing. To it clear it up I must explain this. When I collaborate with an artist i work solely with them, not with their camps or management. Its purely organic and creative. I love Kendrick dearly as a friend, but was not willing to compromise musically to the changes his team was making to my music. This is why I am not on his record. I have a very specific vision as a producer and songwriter, and I always have. That song will be released at a different time, for a different project. I love you, and think you should check out his stuff because he is truly great. He’s a good kid, its just sometimes a mad city. – LG

We’re also aware that a snippet to a certain album cut leaked today but out of respect for K. Dot we will not be sharing it. Do yourself a favor and wait for that October 22nd release date to take it all in at the same time.

Your (2)Dope Opinion: Kendrick Lamar & Lady Gaga’s Upcoming Collaboration

One Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta put up the above message on her timeline (as well as the song title “PARTYNAUSEOUS,” set to drop September 6th, before taking it down). We’ve known about the respect Gaga has for Kendrick’s music, and Kendrick has talked about trying to break and bridge the boundaries of “underground” and “mainstream” music. While I’m sure there are a myriad of opinions on this upcoming collaboration (I’m keeping mine to myself until I hear the end product), now it’s the dopeheads’ chance to divulge their thoughts on the c-section below.

Kendrick Lamar On Friendship w/ Lady Gaga

A couple weeks ago, Lady Gaga expressed her love for Kendrick’s music. Flash forward to this past weekend and she’s stage side showing support during his set at the Pitchfork Music Festival (shown above). The Source caught up with K. Dot to get some thoughts…

“That’s a real good friend… a real good friend.” explained the Compton MC. As for a possible future collaboration between the two he says, “God willing …. for now I just like the friendship thing.”

I have a feeling that there will be a lot of folks that are gonna talk shit on this. But why? Lady Gaga telling her 27 million followers monsters on Twitter that she likes his music seems like a good thing to me. Kendrick’s already proven that he can present a more mainstream-fueled song and keep it within his personal touch. So what could a relationship with such a strong presence worldwide do to injure anything?

Check out the dance track, after the jump…

I find it somewhat annoying that the song is over five minutes long, just like “The Edge of Glory.” The lyrics to the song are very cheesy; but with a couple more listens the song might grow on. I still have not heard that one song that blows me away though.

Lady GaGa – The Edge of Glory

Lady GaGa has been a very busy woman as she gears up for the release of her highly-anticipated new album, Born This Way, out May 23rd! The lead single ‘Born This Way” was a huge success for Gaga, spending a total of six weeks atop the Hot 100. The just released second single “Judas” has not had the same success only peaking at #10 on the Hot 100; yet since the video’s premiere it has climbed back to the top ten on iTunes so it should rise somewhat on next week’s chart. Here we have a promo single titled “The Edge of Glory” which is part of the countdown to the album’s release. Check out the song after the jump…

DL: Links Removed
The song, co-written by Gaga along with Fernando Garibay & DJ White Shadow is approximately the death of her grandfather in September & it features Clarence Clemons of the E Street Band playing the saxophone. I don’t love the song yet it’s not bad, it is unquestionably better than “Judas” & I can see myself liking it with a few more listens.

Lady GaGa: ‘The Edge Of Glory’ (Premiere)

Lady Gaga has just released her first promo single, “Edge Of Glory,” kicking off her iTunes countdown to “Born This Way” leading up to the album’s release on Monday (May 23)! The huge power ballad was co-written & produced by Gaga, Fernando Garibay & DJ White Shadow. This one is easily an instant favorite for me, its crazy catchy, delivers a complex hitting beat & was just built for a huge arena. Gaga wrote the track after the death of her grandfather in September & it features Clarence Clemons of the E Street Band playing saxophone. Be sure to check it out, Enjoy!!

Lady GaGa – Judas [Music Video]

Whatcha Think?

Lady GaGa: ‘Judas’ (Video Premiere)

After having time to watch the video a few times, I can honestly say, I loved it. Probably one of her most toned downed videos yet. Visually it gave me everything I wanted, from her outfits to her make-up. The man who played Jesus was O_O yet she just couldn’t obtain enough of Judas. Was it mind blowing? No. People will hate & love it, that’s just how it is with Gaga.
