T-Pain Has An Issue w/ Future’s “Struggle Falsetto”

After throwing a few jabs on Instagram (a picture that’s since been deleted of course, that featured the following caption: “Funny thing about that Bugatti you woke up in, its mine. Oh, the irony. Haha comical how ‘the new T-Pain’ has to use ‘the old T-Pain’s’ Bugatti for his Bugatti hook.”), T-Pain continues to discuss his issues with Struggle Falsetto’s poor use of auto-tune struggle falsetto. Speaking with Hartford’s Hot 93.7, Pain had the following to say…

I don’t think Future gets the technology very well. I don’t think he understands how it actually works. He’s writing tremendous songs. He’s a tremendous writer. Keep in mind, you can use Auto-Tune and you can know how to work perfectly, but you still have to know how to write a good song. Just because he sound good doesn’t mean he’s saying good stuff. As far as how he uses Auto-Tune, I don’t think he knows how it works. I think he’s thinking that you just turn it on, and then it just happens. But nah, he writes great, tremendous hooks and tremendous songs themselves. I just don’t think he actually knows how to use Auto-Tune yet.

A lot of people don’t sing with it, a lot of people just sing and then put it on after, which is a terrible mistake. There’s a lot of stuff you’ve gotta know about Auto-Tune before you can start using it, because it’s the hot thing to do. But Future’s still tremendous right now, he’s doing his thing. [via]

The-Dream Speaks On Jay-Z’s Grammy Jab

Calling into the Qdeezy Show on Hot107.9 in Philly, The-Dream assured it was all pleasant and games and that the two crack similar jokes all the time. Shouts to hhnm on the heads up.

Now, can we get passed this and start getting ready for The-Dream’s next single “Slow It Down” and upcoming album, Fourplay.

Pusha T Speaks On Next Clipse Album (Video)

While on set of his “Doesn’t Matter” video shot (check the trailer here), Pusha T speaks with MTV about the next Clipse album, As God As My Witness.

When it comes to the Clipse, that’s a special brand to me. I’m not into toyin’ around with that, like just dropping records that ain’t related to an album. We owe our fans something super special, so when it’s time to do that, we just gonna zone in and focus in on that.

Who knows when this will actually see the light of day. But until then.. grab Pusha’s Wrath Of Caine mixtape and get ready for his solo album, My Name Is My Name.

Pusha T Will Only Cut His Hair If… (Video)

… he loses a bet to The Breakfast Club host/Guy Code mainstay Charlamagne Tha God.

“If I lost a bet, I could and be happy. Like I wouldn’t care. I feel like, man, when you create the mold it is up to you to break the mold,” Pusha says about his hair. “People think I’m attached because you got guys and all that that make these crazy ass statements. I’m going to incorporate him though. I’m going to make sure he’s involved if ever that day comes.” – HHW

So basically, he’d go from looking like A$AP Rocky’s older brother to, essentially, just like his older brother No Malice. Kidding, of course.

Lil Wayne Explains I Am Not A Human Being II Cover (Video)

Speaking with NOLA, Lil Wayne spoke on his Trukfit clothing line for women and Turk’s recent-release from prison. Continuing on past what the clip above shows above, Wayne speaks on his upcoming album I Am Not A Human Being II and the meaning behind it’s DONDA-created artwork.

[Kanye] said, you know, man, let me do your cover. I saw the cover and I approved it. He had an explanation behind it – he said, he chose the moth butterfly thing because it has so many different stages of life, and it goes through so many forms and changes, and no one can figure it out, and it’s always beautiful. At a time it’s ugly and at a time it’s attractive too. And that’s me.

I have a lot of guests on the album. That’s what’s unusual about the album. I’m usually a two or three feature-type guy. But this album, I have a lot of features because I have a lot of friends, a lot of people that wanted to assist out. I just appreciate them all. And I have a lot of different production on it too. I got Juicy J, David Banner, Soulja Boy – and that’s the production.

Joey Bada$$ Speaks On Lil B Diss Track (Video)

The other day, Lil B and Joey Bada$$ traded diss tracks (“I’m the Bada$$” and “Don’t Quit Your Day Job” respectively). Sitting down with MTV, Joey shares why he responded to the BasedGod’s initial attack.

“I just linked up with my homey [Lee] Bannon, and he played this beat and was like, ‘Yo, Lil B dis record?’ And I was like, ‘Oh, ‘ight’.” “Who knows?” he responded when asked about the BasedGod’s motives here. “But if somebody sends a jab at me, I’ll just send one twice as hard. I really didn’t have to respond, I don’t feel so, but I just did it. I don’t know why… [Actually] it’s too easy, that’s what it is. It’s too easy, so I thought, ‘Why not?’ I’m just flexing my skill on him.

If Lil B chooses to go another round, Joey says he wouldn’t respond as there isn’t a need and he’s already killed him. Now, can we get off this “beef” and get back to good music? Ok dope, check out the DJ Premier-produced “Unorthodox” right here.
