Jordin Sparks – I Am Woman

American Idol winner, Jordin Sparks’ last album, Battlefield didn’t do so well on the charts, yet now she’s back with a new woman’s anthem. The song is called “I Am Woman” & was co-written & produced by Ryan Tedder. Check out her new single after the jump…

During the first listen, I thought the song seemed kinda cheesy, yet the chorus is catchy & I’m starting to like it. I’m not sure how it will do on the charts though. It could either become a huge anthem, or a huge fail. She’ll probably perform it on American Idol though, which would assist a lot. We’ll see what happens.

The album track, “Papi” is moreover included during a dance break in the video. Ms. Lopez’s new album, LOVE? will be in stores tomorrow.
I’ve stated before that “I’m Into You” is one of my favorite songs at the moment, so I was looking forward to seeing the video. JLo looked astonishing & I actually don’t mind Lil Wayne’s absence from the video. I think this song is gonna do pretty well.

Rihanna – On The Set Of "Man Down" + "California King Bed" Video To Premiere In 10 Days

Rihanna has already released three consecutive #1 singles from her 5th studio album, Loud, & now two more singles are getting ready to be released. As previously announced, “California King Bed” will be released as a new single & a video has been shot for the song. Just recently, Rihanna announced that the Anthony Mandler-directed video will premiere in 10 days, so we can expect it by next Wednesday. The official radio add date has yet to be confirmed UPDATE: “California King Bed” will impact mainstream radio on May 31st. The other single that’s set to be released is “Man Down,” which will officially impact rhythmic & urban radio stations on May 3rd. This video is moreover being shot by Anthony Mandler, & they are currently in Jamaica filming the scenes. Above is a photo that was taken on the set of  the video by a fan. You can check out more low/mediocre quality photos after the jump, as well as short videos from day 1 of the shoot.

I don’t really like the idea of releasing two singles at once, yet I’m excited to see the videos, especially for “Man Down.” Both songs are two of my favorite tracks from Loud, yet think “California King Bed” has a better chance of becoming a huge hit. I’m sure both songs will do well though, yet one will probably overshadow the other. I think she should’ve released CKB first, & then save “Man Down” for the summer, followed by “Cheers.”

Nicole Scherzinger – Right There (feat. 50 Cent)

Nicole Scherzinger released her debut album, Killer Love in the UK back in March, & now she’s preparing for the US release. The Ester Dean-written track, “Right There” is set to be released as the 1st US single on May 17th. On the US version, the song features 50 Cent, who is currently in the Billboard top 10 with his featured track, “Down On Me” by Jeremih. Check out the remix after the jump, as well as a behind the scenes clip from the video shoot.

When I first heard the track over a month ago, I thought it sounded like a track that Rihanna rejected, & I wasn’t feeling it that much. However, lately it’s been growing on me & with the right promotion, it could end up doing well.

Many people have been wanting to hear “Everybody’s Girl” in HQ & now they finally can, since it’s a bonus track. You may be disappointed if you expected the album to be filled with dance tracks like “On the Floor,” yet they’re still tremendous tracks.

Some of the songs may take time to obtain used to, yet overall, it’s a satisfactory album. “I’m Into You” has been one of my favorite songs since it’s release, & “Good Hit” is moreover another standout track. I’m interested in seeing both videos in full. JLo made an attempt to sing a few pop ballads with some soul, yet they didn’t really do much for me. Still, I enjoy the album & hopefully it does well.

Britney Spears – Till The World Ends (Remix) [feat. Nicki Minaj & Ke$ha]

Britney Spears’ latest single “Till The World Ends” has become another hit for her peaking at #8 on the Hot 100 & increasing each week. Just last week Britney joined Rihanna on a remix of  her smash “S&M” which went to #1 on the Hot 100, giving Rihanna her tenth #1 single & Brit’s fifth #1. It was just announced today that Ke$ha & Nicki Minaj (who is joining Spears on her summer Femme Fatale Tour) would be featured on a remix of the single! Check out the hot new remix after jump!…

I don’t really like Nicki’s part on the track, yet I think the remix is cool. Ke$ha fits it perfectly, although I’d rather her have a verse. I prefer the original, yet maybe this remix will assist the song obtain to the #1 spot.

Beyoncé – Run The World (Girls) [Explicit/Final Version]

It’s been over 2 years since the release of Beyoncé’s 3rd studio album, I Am… Sasha Fierce, & now she’s back with what could possibly be a new ladies anthem. Many different song titles for her new single have been going around the web, yet apparently the song is called “Girls (Who Run The World)” “Run The World (Girls).” Bey recently shot the video for the song with “Bad Romance” director Francis Lawrence. The song was produced by Diplo & Switch, & samples Major Lazer’s “Pon De Floor.” Check out a tagged version of the track after the jump & we’ll update with the real final version once it’s released. UPDATE: The official final version has now been digitally released, & now explicit album version has moreover surfaced online. Check it out after the jump…

The song has a catchy hook, however, it’s nothing mind-blowing. Maybe if I hadn’t heard the beat sampled before, then I’d appreciate the track more, yet I just don’t see anything astonishing approximately it. I actually think Dirty Money & Swizz Beatz did a better job with their version of the Major Lazer track. It’s not a offensive song though, & if the video is great, I’m sure it would make many of us like the song more. Kind of like what happened with “Single Ladies.”
