Mara Hruby – Simply Beautiful

In the month of November, 2010, Mara Hruby released her debut EP entitled “From Her Eyes”. Exactly two years later, this November 30th is the mark of the first release she has exposed since her golden introduction to the world. Simply Beautiful is exactly what her new song represents, pun intended. Covering Al Greens “Simply Beautiful”, recorded in the Love Den, Ms. Hruby has engineered, arranged, and produced this soul evoking tune, playing only objects found in her home, accompanied by acoustic guitar played by Nate Mercereau & Steve Wyreman. Listen closely and you will hear her playing spoons, loose change, a metal buddha head with a safety pin, and scratching against a scarf. This raw release is a thank you to all that have supported me in my journey of “From Her Eyes” with love and light. Welcome to her heart, home and soul.

Props to Billboard columnist and #RihannaPlane777 survivor Erika.

While at their 16th annual NYC Halloween show the legendary pot advocates touched on a variety of topics, from co-signing Kendrick Lamar to Slick Rick’s much-ballyhooed performance at the Barclays Center this week. But the fact they’ve smoked with Oliver Stone? Classic.

Macklemore & Ryan Lewis’ “Can’t Hold Us” For The New York Knicks (Video)

Mack & Ryan’s 2011 single has become an (unofficial) anthem of sorts for the Knicks on the MSG Channel, and the network used a snippet of it to promote their upcoming game against the 1-12 Washington Wizards… can you even consider that a “game?”

dead prez Talk Information Age & Career Growth (Video)

Out Da Box TV is proud to bring you Part 1 of our exclusive interview with veteran hip hop group “Dead Prez”. A couple months ago we got the chance to speak with and M1 regarding their latest album Information Age as well as their individual development and growth as artists. The group also took the time to speak on the effect of Barack Obama’s first term (what we should’ve learned?), as well as the issue of apathy and violence re-occurring among young americans. As the interview progressed, Dpz took the time to reflect on the success of their Turn Off The Radio mixtapes, as well as their loyalty as a group, remaining comrades/partners in music for so many years.

So How Was French Montana Involved In Your Riff With Rick Ross, 50 Cent?

Continuing with his conversation with Power 106′s Big Boy’s Neighborhood, Curtis claims that it was French who slid him the video footage of DJ Khaled’s mother’s house and place of employment. If there’s any truth to that… yikes. Like, damn man.
