Despite the folks that complain and complain saying we don’t take submissions, I make it a point to listen to atleast one new artist each day. Today’s listen came from a random submission from a fan, not the artist herself. Dope House… meet Elle Vie. The answer to any and everyone that’s been wanting the old Lauryn Hill to return to form. Ok, that might be a reach but upon listening to the song above I couldn’t assist but make the comparison. Now excuse e as I go back and check the rest of her catalogue.

The Brown Bag AllStar provides the sounds to the third single off Swerve’s upcoming project, The Barrelhouse LP, dropping right here on July 18th.
I think at one time or another most people comes to a point on their path where they start contemplating (or fantasizing) about grabbing what/who they care about most and leaving their current situation behind for a simpler life. That “something” is different for everyone, but for me it was the California coast, and it was in 2008. This is that story and needless to say, I couldn’t convince her to do it…

The femme fatale of the L.A. crew drops another jam off her Playa Del Rey project, set for release next Thursday (July 19th).
This Saturday, NYC is getting turnt up! Live at Brooklyn’s new venue The Well, Killa, Flatbush Zombiez, Asaad and Reese are set to cause trouble. I’ve got a pair of tickets for those willing to risk it. Hit the c-section with your favorite Killa quotable and I’ll pick a winner at random.
Never win anything? Tickets can be purchased here.
Pretty much everybody in the NMC agrees that Killa needs a reality show (I personally can’t stand those shits, but even I’d watch his). Until the brass at Viacom realize that putting Cam in front of a camera would be more entertaining than putting one in front of sports and rap jumpoffs, we’ll have to settle for his new vlog series.
