I met Noah (who hails from Southside, Jamaica Queens) during The Dopehouse last Friday (man, that shit was a zoo) who told me briefly approximately his music (like many other artists down there). Unlike the many other artists down there, however, he actually sent me his stuff. It’s not bad, actually. Tracklist & link down bottom.

Leading up to the release of Savage Journey to the American Dream (dropping March 30th), Stally heads to Bloomington, Indiana in the first installment of his new video series.
Sitting down with HardKnockTV at SXSW, Bobby Ray speaks on his upcoming album (Strange Clouds, May 1st), his collaborative project with T.I. titled The Man & The Martian, working with Andre 3000 & more.
Fresh off his contribution to the 2008ighties 2Dope Cipher (which I might have lost due to technical difficulties smh), the Fonz is back with the first single from his upcoming project with Sani, The Sandridge Complex.

Jasiri X tells the heartbreaking story of Trayvon Martin, a unarmed 17 yr old boy, who was shot & killed by Neighborhood Block Captain George Zimmerman on February 26, 2012. George Zimmerman has to this date never been arrested or charged for the murder of Trayvon.
Lyrics down bottom. If you want the audio of this cut, you can head to Jasiri’s BandCamp page for it.
It’s Sunday the God’s day a day of rest
The Nba all stars are playing next
But right outside that same city
The celebratory atmosphere would alter quickly
Who watching the game with me you know lil Trayvon
Was reppin his home town D Wade & LeBron
He had just came up from Miami to see his daddy
Who knew such a tremendous weekend would end so badly
In a place where you move because it’s safe for your family
But some people received a ingrown hate for your family
Halftime just a short brake from the slammin
Bout to go to the store lil cuz you want some candy?
Bet I grab you some skittles kid
I’ll be right back in a little bit
Paid for lil cuz’s skittles & a ice t
walked out the store & felt the chill of the night breeze
it seemed a little colder than before
he didn’t know it was a boy like a soldier in a war
that was watching him clocking him thinking approximately stopping him
nine milly cocking them who’s this nigga walking in my neighborhood
he fits all the specifics of criminal statistics he looks suspicious
911, what’s your emergency
A black man’s walking through my hood purposely
stay clam, it’s just little Trayvon yet he wanna be the hero so he put’s his cape on
George Zimmerman neighborhood block captain
loaded glock strapped in fake cop has been
got out the car ignoring what the cops asked him
They always obtain away this time that will not happin
George Zimmerman didn’t take his Ritalin
drunk off adrenaline says he making a citizens arrest
Trayvon looks at him vexxed
I just walked to the store nothing more nothing less
Just steps from his home he ignored his request
George grabs him, Trayvon swings & connects
Starts screaming out for assist yet Zimmerman see a threat
so he pulls out his gun & he points it at his chest
He fires yet he misses Trayvon pleads for forgiveness
I didn’t do nothing this is senseless
but George Zimmerman was so vicious
he made sure the second shot hit em no survivor no witness
Trayvon never gave his cousin his skittles
missed the all star game didn’t see another dribble
And George Zimmerman wasn’t even arrested
the message is only white lives are protected
Although he couldn’t make it out to Austin for SXSW with the rest of the 2008ighties crew, Julian hits his fans with the second installment of his new #EIGHTY series. Incase you missed the first round, click here. And if for some reason you don’t posses Enemy, do yourself a favor & grab that as well.

This concept came together because of my love for the iPhone & the Instagram App, a group called The Vaccines did something similar for their song “Wet Suit”. Their video which was festival-based sparked me to do this with my visual team I.R.S thanks to our devoted fans we consider family who helped with gathering the Instagram photos we bring you a montage of All things Classic. – KRNDN
When he’s not covering Michael McDonald’s I Keep Forgetting, Joell Ortiz gets his rap shit on. Check as he joins Nipsey, Cassidy & Dro for DJ Haze’s latest single.
“If I have to hear “Yamo Be There” one more time, I’m going to “Yamo” burn this place to the ground.” – The 40-Year-Old Virgin
Yes, you read that title correctly. Smack in the middle of Slaughterhouse’s high-energy performance in Ft. Lauderdale at Revolution Live last night, Royce Da 5’9″ asked Joell Ortiz to perform his rendition of Michael McDonald’s “I Keep Forgetting” for the crowd to see. I had no idea Joell was going to sound exactly like him so this, sh*t, was, hilarious! He didn’t go out alone either, Joe Budden was kind enough to back him up with old school dance moves, ha! Being that this was my first time seeing all four of them live in a full on concert, club appearances don’t count, I must say they know how to put on a show. From beginning to end the crowd was at a ten! What I loved the most is that they really showed their personalities & had fun. – Ashley
